We are dedicated to helping those affected by HIV and AIDS. Our HIV/STI Program is dedicated to fostering the development, implementation and coordination of programs to:

  • Reduce the transmission of HIV and STIs (sexually transmitted infections).
  • Provide comprehensive services for people living with HIV/AIDS.
  • Enhance community awareness of HIV/AIDS to increase understanding and compassion.

HIV/STI Services

We provide comprehensive medical and social support services to people with HIV/AIDS in our community and work to reduce the stigma of HIV/AIDS.

Education and prevention services, including:

Services for people living with HIV and their families

The HIV/STI Program offers medical/nurse case management and referrals to support services including:

  • Access to clinic-based medical social workers and HIV early intervention services
  • Enrollment in the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP)
  • Mental Health
  • Substance Abuse Services
  • Housing Support
  • Food and Transportation Assistance
  • Health Education/Risk Reduction
  • Nutrition
  • Dental
  • Emergency Support for food, rides, and utilities
  • In-home care and community care
  • Partner Notifications

Eligibility

To qualify for this program, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. You are a resident of Contra Costa County and can verify it.
  2. You must be able to verify HIV status.
  3. You must have a gross income at or below 500% of the most current Federal Policy Level (FPL) guidelines.

STIs

The STI Program provides services for syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia, including:

  • Screening
  • Diagnosis
  • Treatment service and follow-up
  • Partner Notification Services
