When you volunteer your time, energy, and talents to one of our many opportunities, you help your community. Your time is always valued, and some opportunities rely heavily on volunteers.
We understand that busy lives can make it hard to find time to volunteer. However, the benefits of volunteering are enormous. They include:

- Discovering a career path (It is important to note that while we truly value your time and energy, volunteering with Contra Costa County does not lead to paid employment.)

Offer comfort and emotional support during the birth experience.
Homeless Services
Support efforts to provide much-needed services to homeless individuals and families in our county. For example, you can help with an annual count of its homeless population or rebuilding homes.

Senior Peer Counseling
Connect with seniors who are trained to support fellow seniors with challenges such as depression, fear, loneliness, the loss of a loved one, health changes, or isolation.
