NRG owns and operates the Marsh Landing Generating Station (MLGS), an electric power generating facility built in 2012 that is located east-Northeast in Antioch, CA in Contra Costa County. MLGS is a nominal 760 megawatt (MW) facility consisting of four natural gas combustion turbines operating in simple-cycle mode that run intermittently to support the regional transmission system. MLGS uses Aqueous Ammonia in Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems to reduce emissions of nitrogen oxides.
