RMP - Calpine - Los Medanos Energy Center (LMEC)

Calpine Corporation operates the Los Medanos Energy Center (LMEC), a nominal 500-megawatt power plant located in Pittsburg, CA. The plant is a merchant facility marketing electrical power on the open power exchange market and ancillary service support to the California Independent Systems Operator (CAL-ISO) grid. Aqueous Ammonia is used in selective catalytic reduction operations to reduce air pollution emissions.
