Contra Costa Health and industry partners, in partnership with CCCSO CWS, issue community awareness messages for Level 1 hazardous materials incidents in Contra Costa County.
The County does not charge for these alerts. However, your service provider may charge you according to your individual plan.
Contra Costa County makes no representations, warranties, or guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the Community Awareness Messaging. This service is provided to you as a courtesy and is supplementary to other emergency measures, such as self-preparedness, direction of law enforcement or fire officials on the scene of an event, and protocols for your area. This is a voluntary service and may be discontinued by the County at any time without notice. You should not rely exclusively on the Community Awareness Messaging service for Hazmat information.
