Medical Reserve Corps

The Contra Costa County Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a group of medical and public health professionals who respond to events that require additional medical assistance. This includes states of emergency or incidents that require extra medical support. The MRC also helps the community during non-emergency events like CPR training and first aid stations.

Membership

MRC Member Duties

Learn about disaster preparedness and response by attending team meetings and trainings.
Use your medical skills during emergencies.
Help the community at non-emergency events such as CPR training, first aid stations at events and high school mentorships.

Applying to MRC

Medical and public health professionals such as physicians, nurses, EMTs, paramedics, pharmacists and dentists are encouraged to join. Interpreters and other non-medical individuals may apply to fill logistics and administrative roles.

Training & Calendar

MRC activities happen throughout the year and serve as training opportunities. Formal training offers continuing education credits to our medical volunteers, ensuring that they stay up to date on the latest medical practices and protocols.
