Poor air quality in Contra Costa is expected to continue through the weekend due to the Camp Fire in Butte County. Stay indoors when possible and keep doors and windows closed. Avoid prolonged outdoor activity. Masks are not a substitute for staying indoors. Seek medical attention if you experience symptoms such as difficulty breathing, persistent coughing, wheezing, chest tightness, heart palpitations, nausea, fatigue or light-headedness. Contra Costa Behavioral Health Redesigning the First Visit Rapid Improvement Event

During the week of September 10 - 14, 2018, Health Services held a Rapid Improvement Event (RIE) focused on redesigning the first visit for individuals referred to the East County Adult Mental Health Clinic. During the week, teams focused on developing a timely intake, providing a value-added first visit with clinicians and creating a more welcoming clinic environment.
