Follow this link for air-conditioned county buildings open to the public Wednesday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 211 or check your city's web page for information about other places to stay cool near you. Changes in the county's approach to hospitalization for very sick children is the latest topic of a new podcast, an audio presentation available on the Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS) website.

The two-minute podcast features CCHS Director William Walker, MD, talking about national trends in treating very sick children and changes planned for Contra Costa Regional Medical Center's Pediatric Inpatient department.
