Contra Costa Health Services (CCHS) recommends everyone take steps to stay safe and healthy in the hot weather forecast for inland communities today through the weekend. Follow this link for air-conditioned county buildings open to the public Wednesday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Call 211 or check your city's web page for information about other places to stay cool near you. Forum on Healthy Communities: How to Support Family and Community.

A forum on how families and communities can receive support. The event is designed to be a presentation and dialogue with the Latino community and will address a range of topics such as diabetes, AIDS, cancer, mental health, Alzheimer's, nutrition, health insurance and education.

Health professionals will present forum in Spanish.

Who:

Sponsors include the Monument Community Partnership The Association of Alzheimer's, the Wellness Community and Contra Costas' Health Services.

When:

Wednesday, May 28 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Cambridge Elementary School
