Two Masters level trainees or interns (MSW and MFT) or Post Doctoral Fellows.
- Minimum of 16- 24 hours per week, Monday through Friday, flexible
- Placement available September through June
- Required attendance 1 hour individual supervision per week
- Required participation in a multi-disciplinary team
Program Description
Forensics Services collaborates with county Probation to support successful community reintegration of individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance related disorders. Services include assessment, groups and community case management. The focus of care includes psychiatric stabilization, recovery for addiction and criminogenic factors of recidivism.
Interns will learn and practice assessments, intervention skills, diagnostic skills and treatment planning. They will work with other mental health clinicians, nurses, substance abuse counselors, community support workers and probation officers.
