Service Excellence Awards


Contra Costa Health was forced to put Service Excellence Awards on hold during the pandemic, but our staff continued to go the extra mile and care for our communities. We are excited to recognize the hard work of our amazing team at Contra Costa Health.

For her professional demeanor that was patient-focused, open, reassuring and supportive, letting me know I was a person as well as a patient. For taking the time to ask relevant health information, explaining pertinent medical and aftercare details, and answering my questions with patience even though she must repeat these medical protocols several times a day. For instilling confidence, trust and hope. For going “above and beyond” for the health and welfare of the public she serves.

For smiling and laughing with patients and for her demeanor that defuses difficult situations. For connecting easily with patients, instilling trust that enables them to be open about issues they are struggling with. For always being willing to assist even when things are not technically her job and despite a very long commute. For her commitment to our patients.

For being a very professional, well-organized and patient-friendly roll-out of the COVID vaccination program. For being able to schedule COVID vaccines in a timely fashion, from appointment availability, to wait times, to encounters with Public Health medical staff who are knowledgeable, organized, efficient, display great attention to detail, and have a very good “bedside manner” all interactions have been very positive. For the “above and beyond” professionalism they display for the health and welfare of the public they serve.
