RMP - Safeway Beverage Plant

Safeway Richmond Beverage Plant is owned and operated by the Safeway grocery chain. It is situated between Interstate Highway 80 and 580 approximately 0.5 miles north of the Central Avenue exit. The area immediately surrounding the facility is a mixture of industrial and residential. The facility uses ammonia as a refrigerant in a closed refrigeration system for the beverage can and beverage bottle line
