Become a Senior Peer Counselor


The Senior Peer Counseling Program offers both individual counseling and support groups to residents of Contra Costa County who are 55 years of age or older.

As a peer counselor, you will use your life experience and skills in self-help approach to mental health. After participating in our training program, you will provide supportive counseling under the close supervision of mental health professionals.

No specific education is required to become a peer counselor. We train applicants who are warm, caring and non-judgmental. We encourage interested persons to give us a call.
