In the Spring of 2004 Contra Costa Health Services began to discuss outreach and education to the community in regards to emergency preparedness. With an award winning Spanish language talk show already on the air and a successful working relationship with Contra Costa Television, Contra Costa Health Services decided to create a new and exciting television program.
Get Ready, Get Healthy, now airing on Contra Costa Television, provides the Contra Costa community with important emergency preparedness information as well as other vital health topics.
The 30-minute program provides residents with access to health information from local experts who will help raise awareness and inform families about available resources.
Get Ready, Get Healthy was created to provide professional quality programming in an upbeat, comprehensive manner with the community in mind.
Topics to be covered include Creating an Emergency Plan, Preparing Children for Disasters, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and more.
