TeenAge Program
Our Vision: A community where all young people have equal opportunity to fulfill their capacity for greatness. TAP works in partnership with youth and their allies to use their voices, realize their power and influence change to create a safe and healthy community. TAP achieves this by providing health education and training, facilitating youth development and mentorship programs, increasing youth access to health services, and building partnerships with other youth service providers. TAP has been serving Contra Costa youth for over 30 years.
What Services Does TAP Provide?EducationTeen specific health education activities are conducted in Contra Costa County high schools, juvenile detention facilities, and community organizations. Activities include:

The health services offer sports physicals, wellness exams, immunizations, vision & hearing screening, HIV testing, reproductive health services, and referrals to community agencies. All services are free or low-cost. In addition, TAP and Clinical Services are currently working with other county and community partners to roll out mobile school based services through out the county, over the coming year. Students can schedule appointments to meet with TAP staff during school hours, where they are given prevention information, advice on the types of clinic services available and their insurance options. TAP staff will assist students with scheduling appointments and will even meet them at their appointment if requested.
