Placement Openings

Two Ph.D./Psy.D. Practicum III positions.
Two MSW/MFT Intern positions
20 hours per week. Required days are Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9am-12pm.
Placement begins Sept. 5, 2013 and ends June 20, 2014. Three weeks vacation and County holidays off.

Program Description

Central Contra Costa County is very diverse and includes many socioeconomic groups and cultural and ethnic populations. The area served by Central County Child and Adolescent Services ranges from San Ramon to Martinez. The clinic primarily serves children (5-18yo) with Medi-cal insurance, and their families. Children have moderate to severe emotional difficulties which impact them in home, school and community settings. Interns can expect to provide individual, family, and group therapy, participate in case consultation with staff and collateral contact with community agencies, and complete appropriate record-keeping/progress notes. There is a minimum of 5 hours of supervision and training-related meetings each week: 1 hour individual supervision, 1 hour Case Conference, 1.5 hours Didactic Seminar, and 1.5 hours Special Topics seminar.
