The fire at Phillips 66 Refinery in Rodeo is out and the Public Health Advisory for people with respiratory sensitivities has been lifted. A health advisory was issued because the incident could have affected people with respiratory sensitivities.

The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive in front of Contra Costa Regional Medical Center in Martinez. A blood donation can help a cancer patient receive treatment, an accident victim to survive or a new mother hold her baby after emergency surgery.

When:

10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, December 30, 2010

2500 Alhambra Ave, Martinez, CA 94553

You can make an appointment at www.redcrossblood.org and enter Sponsor Code: CCRMC or call 1-800-733-2767. A photo ID is required at donation site.
