A community workshop for residents of West Contra Costa County to develop ideas about how to make their area a better place to live.
Thursday, November 8, 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Hazel Hall, Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center, 360 Harbour Way South, Richmond (next to Nystrom Elementary School)
Proposed expansions and changes in certain land uses could increase truck, train and ship traffic in West County. Residents may have other ideas for land uses and traffic conditions for their neighborhoods.
The workshop is being hosted by Solutions for West County Land Use and Environmental Justice, also known as Project 12898. Participating organizations include Contra Costa Health Services, Neighborhood House of North Richmond, the Pacific Institute and the West County Toxics Coalition.
Food, childcare and transportation to and from the workshop is available. To RSVP for workshop and to request transportation, call Jannat Muhammad at 510-229-5041.
