Health Advisory Lifted for Pittsburg and Antioch

The health advisory for Pittsburg and Antioch has been lifted. The advisory was issued for people with respiratory sensitivities this morning after a chemical release at Dow Chemical in Pittsburg. Contra Costa HazMat staff are investigating the incident. More information will be posted as it becomes available.

Request for Proposals - HIV Services

Contra Costa Health Services AIDS Program is seeking proposals from community-based organizations (CBOs) to provide HIV services in Contra Costa County. The AIDS Program is looking for CBOs with 501(c)3 non-profit status that are experienced in providing the following types of services to people who are HIV positive:

  • Mental Health Coordination
  • Substance Abuse Coordination
  • Legal Services
  • Van Transportation (East/Central County only)
  • Housing Advocacy Services

The RFP will be released on October 10, 2007. Proposals are due to AIDS Program by Friday, November 9, 2007 by 3 p.m. Bidders' Conference will be held on Friday, October 19, 2007 from 1:30 - 3 p.m. in Rooms 101-102 at 40 Douglas Drive in Martinez. The purpose of this meeting is to explain RFP requirements and to answer questions applicants may have that will clarify the RFP.
