Contra Costa Health Services' Mental Health Division is announcing the availability of $2.6 million from the Mental Health Services Act (Prop. 63) to create new mental health services for transition age youth and adults in West Contra Costa County. Requests for Proposals are currently being sought. Two separate RFPs are being issued.
The Mental Health Division seeks to work in partnership with community-based organizations that are experienced in providing mental health supports and services to the two target populations: Transition Age Youth with serious emotional disturbance and/or who are seriously mentally ill, ages 16 - 25 in West County who are homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness; Adults who are seriously mentally ill in West County who are homeless without shelter or at serious risk for homelessness. Agencies may bid on either the Transition Age Youth or Adult RFP, or submit a joint proposal to serve both populations.
