Health Advisory Lifted for Pittsburg and Antioch

The health advisory for Pittsburg and Antioch has been lifted. The advisory was issued for people with respiratory sensitivities this morning after a chemical release at Dow Chemical in Pittsburg. Contra Costa HazMat staff are investigating the incident. More information will be posted as it becomes available.

What

A new April schedule for two locally produced television shows that inform the Contra Costa Community about health issues and emergency preparedness.

Get Ready, Get Healthy for English speaking viewers and Vida Sana en Vivo for Spanish speaking viewers.


Get Ready, Get Healthy April topics are:

April 3 and 6 Helping Children Cope with Disasters
April 10 and 13 Community Health Indicators
April 17 and 20 Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
April 24 and 27 Teen Drinking and Driving

Vida Sana en Vivo April topics are:

April 6 and 7 Violence
April 13 and 14 Helping Children Cope with Disasters
April 20 and 21 Childhood Obesity and Physical Activity
April 27 and 28 Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Who

Both shows are produced by Contra Costa Health Services in collaboration with Contra Costa Television.

When

Get Ready, Get Healthy can be seen Mondays at 7:30 p.m. and Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.

Vida Sana en Vivo can be seen Thursdays at 3:30 p.m. and Fridays at 5 p.m.

Where

Both shows can be seen on Contra Costa Television, channel 27 for Comcast viewers and channel 32 for those with Astound cable.
