An opportunity is available for people to get involved in health care public policy in Contra Costa County.
To take advantage of this opportunity, apply for appointment to Contra Costa Health Plan's Managed Care Commission. Upcoming topics for discussion at commission meetings include health education, access to care and quality management.
The Managed Care Commission is the advisory board to Contra Costa Health Plan (CCHP). It helps establish policy and find areas for improving Contra Costa County’s health care system. Anyone living in Contra Costa County is eligible to be a board member as long as they are not employed by CCHP or one of its contractors.
The commission meets the third Wednesday of every odd-numbered month in Martinez. Transportation and other costs may be covered for commissioners. Refreshments are provided.
To apply or for more information about the Managed Care Commission, call the Contra Costa Health Plan at 925-313-6004 or visit cchealth.org for the Contra Costa Health Services website and click on Contra Costa Health Plan.
