Health Advisory Lifted for Pittsburg and Antioch

The health advisory for Pittsburg and Antioch has been lifted. The advisory was issued for people with respiratory sensitivities this morning after a chemical release at Dow Chemical in Pittsburg. Contra Costa HazMat staff are investigating the incident. More information will be posted as it becomes available.

Placement Openings

  • 3 positions for either MSW/MFT interns or Doctoral-level practicum students (3rd or 4th year students preferred)
  • 20 hours per week. Required days are Wednesdays & Thursdays
  • Placement begins as early as Summer 2015 and ends by Summer 2016, determined as needed to accommodate program and Intern needs

Program Description

Contra Costa County JACS program provides crisis and short term mental health services to youth incarcerated at juvenile hall. Interns are required to participate in individual and group supervision, staff meetings and other county trainings as appropriate. Interns are also expected to complete MediCal documentation.
