Shelter Plus Care Program
The Shelter Plus Care Program provides rental assistance for homeless persons with disabilities in connection with supportive services.
What we offer
Shelter Plus Care (S+C) is a program designed to provide permanent supportive housing for homeless persons with mental health disabilities, alcohol and other drugs disabilities, acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), or chronic physical conditions, and their families, who are living in places not intended for human habitation (e.g., streets) or in emergency shelters. In response to the needs of the homeless population with disabilities, the program allows for a variety of county-wide housing and supportive services choices.
Please see the Shelter Plus Care application for eligibility requirements.
Participants pay 30% of their monthly-adjusted income for rent.
