Health Advisory Lifted for Pittsburg and Antioch

The health advisory for Pittsburg and Antioch has been lifted. The advisory was issued for people with respiratory sensitivities this morning after a chemical release at Dow Chemical in Pittsburg. Contra Costa HazMat staff are investigating the incident. More information will be posted as it becomes available.

The Contra Costa County Homeless Program is not currently accepting applications for our Permanent Supportive Housing programs and does not maintain a wait-list. Updates on future vacancies and information on how to apply will be available here on our website, so please visit back often.

What is Permanent Supportive Housing?

Permanent Supportive Housing combines voluntary, flexible support services with housing to help adults with disabilities choose, obtain, and keep a place to live that is decent, affordable, and safe. Central to the program is the idea that people with disabilities should have the right to live in a home of their own, without any special rules or service requirements.
