Contra Costa needs volunteers for an annual count of its homeless population
Please consider volunteering a few hours of your time as we survey the community of Contra Costa County residents who lack housing from January 26th and 27th.
At the end of every January, communities across the United States conduct an annual census (Point in Time Count) of sheltered and unsheltered people experiencing homelessness. This snapshot provides important data that can inform programming, resource distribution, and housing inventory needs.
This year our count will be conducted over a two-day period (1/26 and 1/27). We will need volunteers to help us gather information during daytimes hours at service and community sites throughout the County. Volunteer training sessions will be held in various sites in the week before the count. For more information and to register.
