Healthy Teeth

Why is caring for your teeth important?

Not only do healthy teeth look pretty, but they also help you chew food and speak clearly. Bacteria get on your teeth when you don’t take care of them. When you eat, this bacteria break down the sugar on your teeth into acid. The acid then eats a layer of your teeth and can create holes called cavities. These holes can be very painful. Having too much bacteria in your mouth can also cause a gum disease. This is when your gums are redder than usual, sore and swollen.
