H1N1 Flu

Information for People Living in Contra Costa County

On August 10, 2010, the World Health Organization declared an end to the 2009 H1N1 pandemic.

For the upcoming 2012-2013 flu season, there will be one flu vaccine available which protects against 3 flu viruses including H1N1. Everyone 6 months and older is recommended to get vaccinated.

It remains important for the community to help stop the spread of flu.
Here are some steps you can take to prevent the flu.

• Get a flu vaccine
• Wash your hands often
• Cover coughs and sneezes
• Stay home when you are sick
