Our MissionThe Community Wellness & Prevention Program aims to improve the environmental, social, and economic conditions that contribute to poor health, and support a quality of life that promotes the health and well-being of all county residents, with special attention to those underserved. To accomplish this, we work in partnership with individuals, diverse communities, and organizations to increase individual knowledge and skills, educate and mobilize communities, build coalitions, and advocate for changes in organizational and public policy. This philosophy has given rise to the Spectrum of Prevention, a creative proactive framework for developing prevention strategies and projects. The Spectrum of Prevention provides a platform from which CW&PP can work in partnership with individuals, diverse communities and organizations to increase individual knowledge and skills, educate and mobilize communities, build coalitions and advocate for changes in organizational and public policy.
