A Message from Dr. Walker
Contra Costa Health Services' mission is to care for and improve the health of all people in Contra Costa County with special attention to those who are most vulnerable to health problems and their consequences.
We take this mission very seriously and it is especially evident in our direct service areas where our staff are responsible for delivering quality care with respect and responsiveness.
We are a large organization and many of our managers are health professionals like physicians and nurses. Our managers and our staff work together as a team to deliver the best care that we can.
Sometimes management and labor disagree on issues related to pay, benefits and working conditions. During those times, we do our best to continue to deal with each other with respect and responsiveness. We also work to maintain our high standard of service to our patients, clients, customers and the community.
Because Contra Costa Health Services is a public agency, we make every effort to provide information to residents of Contra Costa County and to our colleagues so they can be up-to-date on events that affect their health and well-being.
