Injection Drug Users Diagnosed with AIDS
Healthy People Year 2010 Objective:
13-3: Reduce the number of new AIDS cases among females and males who inject drugs. Target: 9,075 new cases. Baseline: 12,099 new cases of AIDS among injection drug users aged 13 years and older (females, 3,667; males, 8,432) in 1998. Data are point estimates; risk redistributed; adjusted for delays in reporting. Data source: HIV/AIDS Surveillance System, CDC, NCHSTP. Cumulative AIDS cases (n=690) (as of 1/7/05)
