Adolescent Health Alliance (AHA)

***THIS PROGRAM IS NO LONGER ACTIVE***

The Adolescent Health Alliance (AHA), hosted by Contra Costa Health Services' FMCH Programs, is a collaboration of county and community agencies that provide services and support to county youth. AHA began in 1998 as the Family, Maternal and Child Health Community Coalition. The group's first task was to assist FMCH in conducting a Community Health Assessment. Over the past 3 years, the focus of the Coalition has expanded from pregnancy prevention to include broader adolescent health issues and services.

The Coalition recognizes youth development and youth participation as critical strategies for bringing adolescent health issues to the forefront of policymakers' agendas and supports the healthy development of adolescents in our county.
