Coalitions and Advisory Boards
The Alcohol and Other Drugs Advisory Board works in collaboration with the Alcohol and Other Drugs Services Division of Contra Costa Health Services. We provide input and recommendations as they pertain to alcohol and other drugs prevention, intervention, and treatment services.
The Consolidated Planning Advisory Workgroup (CPAW) replaces previous Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) stakeholder workgroups. New members have been added to broaden stakeholder representation to include some specific target populations, including LGBTQ, Native Americans, and others.
The Contra Costa Inter-jurisdictional Council on Homelessness (CCICH) is appointed by the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors to assist and provide guidance in the development and implementation of long range planning and policy formulation of homeless issues in Contra Costa County.
The primary purpose of the Commission is to serve in an advisory capacity to the Board of Supervisors and to the Mental Health Division and its staff. Commissioners are appointed by members of the County Board of Supervisors from each of the five districts for a term of three years.
